About the position

The Electrical Engineering Co-Op position at Kimberly-Clark offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an industrial environment, focusing on problem analysis, design, installation, and start-up phases of projects. Co-ops will work with automated manufacturing control equipment, including PLCs and motor controllers, while developing a broad understanding of electrical engineering practices necessary for supporting high-speed automated manufacturing processes. This role is part of a cooperative education program, requiring students to take time off from school during the co-op term.

Responsibilities

  • Produce detail for design and development assignments.
  • Develop knowledge and skills of/for engineering detail.
  • Carry out job responsibilities in a safe manner.
  • Maintain security and documentation.
  • Assist in development of solutions and alternatives to assigned problems/opportunities.
  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected.
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.

Requirements

  • GPA of 3.0 cumulative or higher.
  • Completion of 1-1/2 years of college courses in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. on a regular, full-time basis without sponsorship.
  • Previous co-op/intern experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of basic statistics and computer usage experience.
  • Familiarity with CAD and engineering work systems.
