About the position
As an Electrical Design Engineer at Sciaky, Inc., you will be responsible for the electrical and controls design of advanced welding systems and additive manufacturing products. This role involves creating system schematics, electrical wiring, and panel layouts while ensuring compliance with quality management systems and industry standards. You will work in a collaborative environment, contributing to innovative solutions in the field of electron beam welding and 3D printing.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical and controls systems for Sciaky products.
- Create system schematics, electrical wiring, and panel layouts.
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems and industry standards.
- Release electrical drawings packages for manufacture.
- Size and specify electrical components for electrical panels.
- Interface electrical panel designs with process control and motion system components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Five years of electrical engineering experience.
- Experience designing power distribution and control circuits.
- Knowledgeable in servo and motion control systems.
- Familiarity with electrical standards and safety codes.
- Experience with EPLAN Electric P8 and Bentley Microstation V8 CAD systems.
- Strong documentation and drawing revision control background.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in designing industrial electrical/electronic equipment for the aeronautic or automotive industries.
- Proficiency in using MS Office for data entry.
