The primary objective of the Electrical Project Engineer is to develop electro-mechanical microprocessor-based products for the critical environment airflow control industry. This role involves a comprehensive approach to product development, starting from the initial design concept through to manufacturing release. The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in both analog and digital circuit design, as well as the capability to develop algorithms and write embedded programs that meet the product's functional design requirements. The position requires a strong understanding of the critical environments in which these products will be utilized, ensuring that all designs are robust and reliable. In this role, the Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for creating detailed design plans and specifications based on functional requirements and budget constraints. This includes developing a project schedule and coordinating the activities of team members, both in-house and subcontractors, to ensure that the product development effort progresses on schedule and within the prescribed budget. The use of computer-assisted engineering and design tools is essential to perform engineering tasks thoroughly and efficiently. Additionally, the engineer will develop test specifications and carry out design verification testing to ensure that the design meets the performance requirements imposed by the functional specifications. Coordination and scheduling of pre-compliance and agency compliance testing, including CE and UL, will also be part of the responsibilities. The role includes providing technical training and support to engineering, manufacturing, and sales personnel, ensuring that all stakeholders are well-informed about the product features and functionalities.
