About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at BBS Architects, Landscape Architects & Engineers, P.C. involves participating in the design, production, and planning of various projects, primarily in the K-12 and higher education sectors. The role requires collaboration with a team of professionals and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions while fostering long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Supports the project team with providing technical expertise and sound solutions
• Assess, understand and design systems, including building power, lighting, low-voltage systems, and photovoltaic projects
• Efficiently and effectively deliver a set of documents for construction
• Capable of working with other disciplines
• Meets deadlines as necessary to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction
• Continue to grow respected, long-term client relationships and BBS team relationships

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering Technology
• Minimum 2 years of architectural experience in an office environment
• Understands and contributes to the process and workflow of an A/E project design team
• Works within established cost budgets and timelines
• Excellent verbal, written and visual communication skills
• Self-driven desire to learn and grow professionally
• Ability to multi-task and meet multiple simultaneous deadlines
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, or other presentation/editing software packages
