The Electrical Engineer - Field Applications position at Wisconsin Public Service involves working on programs that maintain and enhance the electric distribution system to ensure safety and reliability. This role includes responsibilities such as equipment start-ups, commissioning, and customer interactions regarding new services and equipment requirements. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for both remote and on-site work.

Responsibilities

• Work on new services equipment start-ups, cogeneration, commissioning's, and new service requests.
• Review and approve new installations and designs, guiding designers on building the system.
• Collaborate with customers on new services and equipment requirements.
• Address outage and voltage concerns, discussing issues directly with customers and developing plans to resolve them.
• Ensure equipment is installed and operated safely.
• Meet with large customers to address concerns and system work.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities during major storms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Valid Driver's License
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Strong analytical, project management, and team building skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Power Engineering emphasis or experience with electric distribution system design or operations
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
