About the position

The Electrical Engineer, FPGA position at Aret involves designing, developing, and testing electronic systems with a focus on FPGA development and integration. The role is centered around creating advanced imaging, LIDAR, SONAR, and motion control solutions, contributing to innovative projects in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop FPGA code for electronic subsystems.
• Integrate and test hardware and FPGA code to meet system specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build complex electro-optic systems using FPGAs, GPUs, and embedded processors.
• Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and system integration.
• Present technical briefings and contribute to proposals for new and ongoing projects.

Requirements

• 2+ years Electrical Engineering experience with BS/BA in Computer/Electronic Engineering
• Experience with FPGAs and microprocessors
• Passion to work with high performance electronic and electro-optic systems
• Strong communication skills including written, verbal, and formal presentation capabilities
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• 5+ years Electrical Engineering experience with BS/BA in Computer/Electronic Engineering
• Experience with Xilinx products and tool chain
• Experience with Altium Designer including schematic design and PCB layout
• Software programming skills such as C/C++, Python, Matlab
• Hands on experience designing electronic circuitry and circuit card assemblies.
• Experience with high speed, impedance controlled, and low noise circuit boards is helpful
• Current security clearance is highly desired.
