About the position

As an Electrical Engineer at DirectAir, you will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise in the design, troubleshooting, and installation of company equipment. Your responsibilities will include the layout and design of electrical drawing packages, as well as specifying components necessary for both company and customer equipment. You will be expected to deliver all CAD drawings required for project completion and ensure that all components meet the specifications outlined by the customer. Understanding and applying relevant electrical codes, such as NEC, CSA, and NFPA, will be essential in your design process. In this position, you will also provide project oversight and management, demonstrating your ability to guide and oversee project installations. You will be responsible for teaching and instructing associates with lesser knowledge or experience when necessary, ensuring that the team adheres to quality and design standards from conception through to completion. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that the final product or service meets the high-quality standards set by OTC Industrial Technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer with all CAD drawings needed for project completion.
  • Specify all components (parts) needed for project completion.
  • Understand customer specifications and governing electrical codes and incorporate them into the design.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of AutoCAD & SolidWorks.
  • Provide project oversight and management.
  • Provide guidance and oversight during project installation.
  • Teach/instruct associates of lesser knowledge/experience when needed.
  • Adhere to OTC quality and design standards from conception through completion.

Requirements

  • Must be proficient with AutoCAD and SolidWorks for internal design of product.
  • BSEE from a four-year accredited school (consideration for a two-year degree with 3+ years of experience in a related field).
  • 3-5 years working in an electrical manufacturing/production environment.
