About the position
HX5 is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the Mobility Aircraft Directorate at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. The role involves applying electrical engineering knowledge to various systems, including electrical power systems and avionics subsystems, while ensuring compliance with testing and certification requirements. The position requires a strong background in government acquisitions and offers a flexible work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Support electrical power systems and avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, and testing.
- Assist in defining requirements and completing compliance matrices for communications and navigation systems.
- Support AIMS requirements, testing, certification, and spectrum management requirements.
- Conduct modeling, simulation, testing, and evaluation for airworthiness certification across hardware and software systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school with fifteen (15) years of related experience, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD.
- Master's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited school with twelve (12) years of related experience, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD.
- Five (5) years of experience in Government Acquisitions.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency.
- Ability to complete a U.S. government background investigation and obtain a Secret clearance.
