About the position

As a licensed Electrical Engineer at Olsson, you will be an integral part of the Facilities Engineering and Design team, focusing on the healthcare sector. This position requires a strong commitment to designing innovative solutions that enhance the quality and efficiency of healthcare facilities. You will be responsible for applying standard engineering techniques and procedures, utilizing sound judgment to make necessary adaptations and modifications to existing designs. Your role will involve generating ideas and creating designs that adhere to the highest standards of quality, ensuring that all projects meet the specific needs of healthcare environments. In this position, you will perform a variety of engineering duties related to the evaluation, design, and construction of plans for healthcare projects of varying sizes. You will assist in the preparation of project documents while maintaining a thorough understanding of the project scope, schedule, and budget. Your responsibilities will include conducting process design calculations, analyzing reports, and preparing cost estimates to assess the feasibility of projects. You will leverage your knowledge and experience with standard techniques, methods, and procedures to coordinate various aspects of project design effectively. Communication will be key in this role, as you will be expected to keep project managers and clients informed about project development and progress. You will also be responsible for entering and maintaining project information and client records in the firm's project management system. Additionally, you will evaluate and propose adaptations to standard methods and procedures for components of your assignments. As a senior member of the team, you may also provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members when necessary, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing project documents and maintain knowledge of project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Conduct process design calculations, analyze reports, and prepare cost estimates to assess project feasibility.
  • Apply knowledge and experience with standard techniques, methods, and procedures to assist with coordination of project design aspects.
  • Communicate project development and progress with project managers and clients.
  • Enter and maintain project information and client records in the firm's project management system.
  • Evaluate and propose adaptations to standard methods and procedures for components of assignments.

Requirements

  • Licensed Electrical Engineer with relevant experience in healthcare systems design.
