About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at BAE Systems involves designing, developing, and testing advanced navigation products, specifically Modernized M-Code GPS Receivers for defense programs. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test industry-leading navigation products.
• Execute electrical engineering design and development of GPS products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the development process.
• Develop technical reports, presentations, and verification artifacts.
• Perform trade studies, work estimates, and integration activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline and 2 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance (US Citizenship required).
• Time management skills to work unsupervised and multi-task.
• Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
• Experience with hardware requirements capture, electrical design, and testing of electronics and circuits.
• Experience with Test and Measurement Equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with electrical design tools (requirements capture, schematic capture, electrical analysis and simulation).
• Experience with PCB design and layout.
• Familiarity with power electronics including component selection and DC-DC converter design.
• Familiarity with high-speed electrical design features, such as ethernet and DDR memory.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC testing.
