About the position

The Electrical Engineer I position focuses on the design and management of cabling solutions within new product introduction (NPI) projects. This role aims to ensure that cabling is integrated early in the design process to avoid delays and reworks. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and external manufacturing partners to drive consistency and excellence in cabling design, ensuring all documentation is properly transferred to production.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the EE team assigned to NPI programs to realize cabling designs that meet all requirements for performance and cost.
  • Collaborate with the assigned manufacturing partner to ensure all requirements are met and documented.
  • Perform DfX reviews on all cables and participate in electrical/electronic design reviews to ensure cabling meets product requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 1+ years of experience working in an electrical design environment that included cabling and harnesses.
  • System level integration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Familiarity with analog and digital electronics and design practices.
  • Ability to understand, debug and work with Schematics.
  • Experience with Altium and Solidworks is a plus.
  • Ability to build small quantity prototype cabling solutions to support the project team as needed.
