About the position

As an Electrical Engineer I at Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI), you will play a crucial role in delivering energy-efficient building solutions while being mentored by experienced engineers. This entry-level position involves performing load calculations, determining system sizing and layouts, and participating in project meetings, ultimately leading to greater responsibilities in managing electrical project teams and supporting construction-phase work.

Responsibilities

• Perform load calculations and determine system sizing and layouts.
• Calculate equipment sizes and select appropriate equipment.
• Complete field surveys and review equipment shop drawings.
• Assist in leading electrical project teams as experience is gained.
• Write specifications and participate in project meetings with clients and consultants.
• Support construction-phase work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Architectural Engineering (BSAE) from an ABET accredited school.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Non-academic internship experience.
• Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities or student organizations is preferred.
• EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) is a plus.
• Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field is preferred.
