About the position

The Electrical Engineer II for Medtronic's Neuro Modulation/Pelvic Health division is responsible for the electrical hardware design of implantable neurostimulation devices. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and implementation of device electronics used in treating neurological disorders. The ideal candidate will possess strong circuit analysis skills and familiarity with low power electronics design, contributing to all aspects of patient care device electronics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct circuit level design and analysis to evaluate circuit function.
  • Identify and qualify alternate electronic components through design analysis and testing.
  • Own product changes and manage change control activities, including documentation updates.
  • Support IQ/OQ/PQ, DOE's, SPC, and other statistical methodologies.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to manufacturing sites and suppliers to enhance efficiency and yield.
  • Conduct engineering analysis on field returned products to determine root causes of failures.
  • Support CAPA processes and regulatory compliance audits.
  • Collaborate with reliability and manufacturing teams to evaluate design changes.
  • Assist Regulatory Specialists with data for regulatory submissions and audits.
  • Participate in new product development and ensure completion of transfer deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • MS in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments (e.g., DMM, oscilloscope).
  • Experience with schematic design and PCB layout using CAD tools.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in writing engineering documents (specifications, test plans).
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
