About the position

The Electrical Engineer II for Medtronic's Neuro Modulation/Pelvic Health division will focus on the electrical hardware design of implantable neurostimulation devices. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance device performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The engineer will engage in circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting, contributing to the development of innovative solutions for neurological disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct circuit level design and analysis to evaluate circuit function.
  • Identify and qualify alternate electronic components through design analysis and testing.
  • Manage product changes and change control activities, including documentation updates.
  • Support IQ/OQ/PQ, DOE's, SPC, and other statistical methodologies.
  • Provide troubleshooting support to manufacturing sites and suppliers to improve efficiency.
  • Conduct engineering analysis on field returned products to determine root causes of failures.
  • Support CAPA processes and regulatory compliance audits.
  • Collaborate with reliability and manufacturing teams to assess design changes.
  • Assist in new product development and ensure completion of transfer deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with laboratory instruments (DMM, oscilloscope, etc.).
  • Familiarity with schematic design and PCB layout using CAD tools.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
