About the position

The Electrical Engineer II - Simulation & Training position at Collins Aerospace involves developing, modifying, integrating, and testing training simulators for military and commercial use. The role requires a skilled electrical engineering professional to manage electrical analysis, schematic design, and prototype integration, contributing to the success of complex missions across various platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, integrate, test, and document electrical hardware of moderate complexity.
  • Capture, analyze, and create hardware engineering requirements for medium complexity components.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure appropriate electrical design.
  • Participate in cross-functional team efforts for integration and testing of designs and sub-systems.
  • Utilize appropriate processes and tools during hardware development.
  • Report on technical performance, cost, and schedule for assigned work.
  • Support customer reviews and meetings.

Requirements

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date.
  • Experience with electrical analysis & characterization, AC & DC power budgets, and part specification.
  • Experience with technical documentation such as schematics, cable drawings, parts lists, and wire lists.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD or other CAD tools for electrical schematic capture and design documentation.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications / Office 365.
