About the position

As an Electrical Engineer II at Innovation Associates, Inc., you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical systems and components. This role involves leading the creation of detailed schematics, performing testing, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring high performance and reliability of electrical systems. You will work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle, from concept to production, while also mentoring junior engineers and guiding design reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate Electrical Systems: Design and conduct research programs to assess the capabilities of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop Testing Methods: Design and implement testing methods to confirm system and component capabilities.
  • Create Electrical Products: Collaborate with customers to understand requirements and improve manufacturing and assembly methods for electrical products.
  • Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Modify equipment and processes for building and assembling electrical components, collaborating with operators for insights.
  • Ensure Product Quality: Design electrical testing procedures and test finished products to meet quality standards.
  • Analyze and Report: Prepare detailed product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Provide Engineering Support: Offer technical guidance to support other teams and stakeholders.
  • Maintain Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations.
  • Keep Equipment Operational: Maintain and troubleshoot equipment following established procedures.
  • Manage Product Database: Write computer programs and maintain product databases for accurate records.
  • Lead and Train: Provide guidance and training to technicians to help them develop their skills.
  • Collaborate for Success: Work across departments to accomplish project goals and achieve results.
  • Program: Write PLC Control logic for complex systems and subsystems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a solid understanding of design, testing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in PLC programming.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
