About the position

The Electrical Engineer II position at INSPYR Solutions is a critical role that involves understanding system requirements for Mobile and Server Computing. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Engineering staff to analyze and understand system architecture, ensuring that all electrical issues are addressed effectively. This role requires a high level of independence, as the engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, managing field failures, and demonstrating engineering rigor to identify root causes and recommend viable solutions. In this position, the engineer will drive the development of debug and test plans, execute these plans, and analyze results to validate solutions, ultimately driving implementation. The role also includes providing technical support for server and client system issues that are escalated by clients during the development phase. Collaboration with engineering team members is essential to ensure global support for ongoing development efforts, as well as supporting the design and development of new systems. Communication is key in this role, as the engineer will be expected to provide weekly updates on issue status through tracking tools, email updates, and PowerPoint summaries. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for training and supporting other team members, contributing to the overall success of the team in front-end activities.

Responsibilities

  • Understand system requirements for Mobile and Server Computing.
  • Work closely with Senior Engineering staff to analyze system architecture.
  • Independently manage electrical issues, troubleshooting steps, and problem resolution.
  • Drive development of debug/test plans and execute them.
  • Analyze results to validate solutions and drive implementation.
  • Provide support for debug and failure analysis of multiple issues.
  • Provide technical support for server and client system issues escalated by clients during the development phase.
  • Collaborate with engineering team members to ensure global support of ongoing development efforts.
  • Support design and development of new systems.
  • Communicate issue status by providing weekly updates via tracking tools, email, and PowerPoint summaries.
  • Train and support other team members.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3-8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or a related position.
  • Experience with server design and server debug.
  • Experience with high-speed design, including schematic entry, PCB design, and designing for signal integrity.
