This role is a part of Shepard, a reusable suborbital rocket system designed to take astronauts and research payloads past the Karman line, the internationally recognized boundary of space. Through operational reusability, Shepard supports our mission of lowering the cost of access to space! As part of a diverse Avionics team, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers to deliver Avionics hardware systems. You will design, develop, and verify high-performance avionics hardware for various flight vehicles. You will be integrated with our rocket program and technical leads to drive requirements definition, modeling, analysis, design, test, and production release of on-vehicle launch, flight, and power management components and sub-systems. Your responsibilities will encompass electronic requirements, architecture concepts, detailed design, development, and test. In addition, you will follow avionics designs through formal verification, environmental qualification, release, and participate in flight support activities.
