About the position

The Electrical Engineer III - Instrumentation at SNC is responsible for designing and developing advanced aerospace and defense technologies. This role involves working on the U.S. Air Force's Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC) mission, contributing to the modernization of next-generation aircraft. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with relevant experience in engineering principles and practices. The engineer will engage in a fast-paced environment, applying technical creativity to innovate and improve products and services throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge aerospace and defense products and services.
• Conceptualize and design new products and processes from analog and digital circuits to fully integrated systems.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design and development teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Utilize Computer Aided Engineering tools for design and analysis of electrical systems.
• Integrate hardware components into complex systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Typically 6 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools.
• Understanding of electrical systems design and hardware integration.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry.
• Experience with extensive ground and flight test programs.
• Experience with 14 CFR Part 25 testing.
• Experience with Military Systems testing.
• Familiarity with Ethernet, 1553, ARINC 429, and CAN bus protocol.
