We are currently seeking an experienced Laboratory / Facility Electrical Engineer for our Life Sciences business unit, with opportunities available in our Greenwood Village, CO, San Antonio, TX, or Georgia offices. This role is ideal for candidates who are eager for personal and professional growth and possess a solid understanding of design and construction document processes. The successful candidate will be adaptable to both short-term and long-term projects in a dynamic environment that requires a blend of creativity and technical expertise. As a Laboratory / Facility Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for all phases of engineering production and Building Information Modeling (BIM) for a variety of projects, ranging from programming through construction administration. This includes interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating the design and production efforts for large or complex projects. You will design electrical systems for facilities and laboratories for government, university, and private clients, providing conceptual and detailed design and analysis for facility power distribution, emergency power generation, grounding and lightning protection, lighting design, telecommunications, fire alarm systems, security, and special systems. In this role, you will also prepare supporting documentation such as calculations, reports, and specifications, and meet with clients to validate the proposed scope of work. You will prepare fee proposals for engineering design work and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure the accuracy of project packages while meeting schedule and budget commitments. The position requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment. You will also be expected to mentor junior engineers and designers, delegating work as necessary, and manage the local team with minimal direction. A hybrid work schedule is available for employees in good standing, allowing for a blend of home and office work.
