About the position

The Electronics Engineer III position at TSC involves designing, developing, and testing complex electronic systems for radar and RF sensor applications. The role requires expertise in mixed-signal analog, digital, and RF design, with a focus on high-speed RF Analog-to-Digital (ADC) and Digital-to-Analog (DAC) converters. The position supports the Radar & Precision Weapons Division and offers a professional working environment with competitive salary and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mixed analog, digital, and RF circuits using the latest FPGA and RFSoC components
  • Conduct circuit simulations, analysis, and verification to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, software, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of designs
  • Prototype, test, and debug electronic systems to meet performance and reliability requirements
  • Conduct feasibility studies and research to stay updated on the latest advancements in mixed analog, digital, and RF design
  • Collaborate with experienced designers to enhance electronic design skills

Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of professional experience in mixed-signal design
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard schematic design and simulation tools (Cadence, SPICE, etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in schematic design and implementation using FPGA and ADC/DAC devices
  • Solid understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis
  • Familiarity with RFSoC components
  • Familiarity with RF design techniques and concepts
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or MATLAB
  • Experience with Cadence's EDA tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (OrCAD, Allegro)
  • Experience with Xilinx/Altera components and software tools (Vivado/Quartus)
  • Familiarity with electromagnetic simulation tools such as Microwave Office or Ansys HFSS
  • Excellent presentation and technical writing skills
