About the position

The Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) position at AE2S is designed for a motivated individual looking to develop their skills in electrical engineering within a supportive and innovative environment. The role involves working under the supervision of experienced project managers and design engineers, focusing on various electrical engineering design tasks related to water, wastewater, municipal, and industrial projects. The position emphasizes personal and career development, providing opportunities to engage in significant projects utilizing the latest technology.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical engineering design tasks focused on water, wastewater, municipal, and process industrial projects.
  • Assist in the design of power distribution systems, instrumentation and control (SCADA) systems, access control and security systems, fire alarm systems, and backup power generation systems.
  • Assist Project Managers with the development and preparation of reports, studies, plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Assist Project Managers in the design, bidding, and construction of electrical systems.
  • Maintain project and company tracking information in Deltek Vision software platform.
  • Attend internal and external design review meetings and coordinate with other engineering disciplines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Fundamentals in Engineering certified or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required (less than 10%).

Nice-to-haves

  • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience.
  • 2 years internship experience related to electrical engineering.
