About the position

Kiewit Industrial & Water Engineering is seeking a Building Electrical Engineer for the Industrial Building Group. This role is crucial for establishing and maintaining company standards and tools, contributing to project success through expertise in design documentation and layout. The position encourages flexibility in work assignments and promotes continuous technical and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Performing Load List and equipment sizing calculations under the supervision of a senior engineer.
• Developing small to mid-size projects or proposals.
• Coordinating with designers and drafters for producing electrical design drawings.
• Leading quality checks of the design and engineering of a project to ensure accuracy.
• Identifying changes in the scope of work during a project and producing design changes as needed to stay within budget and schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering minimum required.
• Minimum 4-10 years of relevant experience in the refining and petrochemical industry.
• Ability to adjust to varying demands of work and perform well under pressure.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or commitment to achieving within 6-12 months.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
