About the position

The Senior Level Electrical Engineer at Moffatt & Nichol will be responsible for leading complex electrical designs for various infrastructure projects, particularly in the waterfront and offshore wind sectors. This role involves collaboration with project managers and electrical teams to develop innovative solutions, prepare detailed plans, and ensure quality assurance across projects.

Responsibilities

• Completes multiple or complex electrical designs to support firm-wide projects by collaborating with Project Managers and electrical teammates.
• Provides design calculations, design drawings, and project specifications for medium/low voltage power distribution systems, microgrids, lighting systems, grounding systems, communications systems, control systems, and electrical equipment design.
• Prepares detailed large contract documents, studies, and cost estimates.
• Conducts submittal reviews and construction observations for electrical work on projects.
• Assists in companywide Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; required
• Professional Engineer License (PE) in Electrical Engineering; required
• 10+ years of related experience in electrical engineering, specifically in medium/low voltage power distribution systems, grounding systems, lighting systems, communications systems, and electrical equipment design.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit; required
• Proficiency in ETAP or EasyPower and AGI32; preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering; preferred.
