About the position

The Technical Intern position at Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) offers a unique opportunity for college students to gain hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Interns will work alongside industry experts on real-world projects, receiving mentoring and coaching throughout their internship. This program is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, allowing interns to engage in actual project teams, attend planning meetings, and apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting. The internship typically lasts 10-12 weeks during the summer, with the potential for full-time employment upon graduation based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Work on actual projects alongside industry experts.
• Attend planning meetings and contribute ideas.
• Complete assignments as tasked by the project team.
• Learn fundamental business processes and procedures.
• Participate in cross-functional workshops and meetings with leadership.

Requirements

• Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college or technical school with at least 6 months until graduation after the end of the internship.
• Degree or coursework related to Electrical Engineering.
• Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Strong organization skills and work ethic; detail-oriented.

Nice-to-haves

• Microsoft Access skills
• Pursuing a degree in engineering or a related discipline.
