About the position

As an Electrical Engineer Summer Intern at Black & Veatch, you will assist in addressing significant infrastructure challenges by working on various projects. This role provides hands-on experience in electrical engineering, allowing you to contribute to the company's growth while gaining valuable insights into the industry through mentorship and collaboration with experts.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of electrical engineering deliverables like reports, drawings, specifications, and studies.
  • Assist with the engineering analyses, designs, and report production.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables.
  • Organize and evaluate data, utilizing computer modeling to analyze systems.
  • Organize project materials, references, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in an ABET accredited university in Electrical Engineering program.
  • No prior experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant coursework or knowledge in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations.
  • Understanding of engineering design principles and design guides.
  • Problem-solving skills, effective written communication, and the ability to build relationships.
