About the position

The Electrical Engineer Intern position at ABB offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of electrical engineering. Interns will work closely with the engineering team on various projects, contributing to test infrastructure, design verification, and documentation updates. This role is designed to enhance personal education and employment opportunities while supporting ABB's operations.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Engineering team on activities related to test infrastructure.
• Assisting the design engineer in verifying the electrical wiring and updating the associated wiring tables.
• Updating Bill of Materials and documentation to support the localization of new products.
• Supporting documentation for new designs (product, software, and test specifications).
• Supporting the updating of test procedures for new products.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in electrical engineering in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
• Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
• Collaborate with team members to convey ideas, share information, and provide updates on project progress.
