About the position

Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2025, a paid, in-person, 12-week internship based out of Atlanta, GA. As a defense technology company, Anduril is committed to transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The intern will have the opportunity to work on designing electronics from concept to functional prototype, which includes hardware selection, PCB design, and system-level integration. This role will also involve troubleshooting issues that span electrical and software boundaries, utilizing lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and DMMs, as well as software debugging tools. The intern will develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems, while also supporting development and testing tools. Collaboration is key, as the intern will work closely with other engineers across various disciplines to deliver fully functional products. The fast-paced environment will require the intern to manage multiple projects at various stages concurrently, providing a comprehensive experience in the field of electrical engineering. This internship is designed for students who are pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Candidates must be rising seniors and returning to school after the internship. Familiarity with test equipment, software development processes, standard interfaces, and embedded Linux development is essential. Strong organizational and communication skills are also required, along with proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ and Python. U.S. Person status is necessary for accessing export-controlled data, and the ability to complete the internship in Atlanta is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Design electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, PCB design, and system level integration.
  • Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries using lab equipment and software debugging tools.
  • Develop low-level firmware/software for microcontrollers and embedded Linux systems, and support development & testing tools.
  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products.
  • Manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Must be a rising senior at the time of their internship and returning to school at the end of their internship.
  • Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, and current-probes.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as git, Github, JIRA, etc.
  • Familiarity with standard interfaces such as Ethernet, CAN, I2C, SPI, PCIe, USB, etc.
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux development, including device trees, hardware drivers, bootloaders, and basic Unix/Linux tools.
  • Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Experience with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation tools.
  • Proficiency with C/C++ and common languages (Python, Rust, Haskell, etc.).
  • U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.
  • Ability to complete an in-person 12-week internship in Atlanta, GA.
