About the position

The Electrical Engineer Intern position at Woodward, Inc. is designed for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in the Aerospace and Energy Industry, working on real-life projects that enhance business acumen. Interns will collaborate with various engineering teams, gaining hands-on experience and the potential for future full-time employment.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Product Engineering team on design changes to improve performance or product margins.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on material substitutions or Supplier-requested changes.
• Assist Woodward Operations on product throughput in the factory.
• Create and update product design information using Computer-Aided Design tools.
• Work with the Test Engineering team on product test processes and process validation.

Requirements

• Must be at least a sophomore in an accredited College or University program in Electrical Engineering.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent skills in problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in the use of PCs, MS Office Programs, and other associated software.
• Ability to operate effectively in a team environment.
• Effective time management skills.
• Solid knowledge of the English language with good listening skills.
• Good academic performance in relevant subjects.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to use mechanical CAD tools, preferably PTC Creo.
• Experience with Lab View programming.
