As an Electrical Engineering Intern for the summer of 2025 at Oshkosh Defense, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced Electrical Engineers on various projects. This internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in the field of electrical engineering, particularly in the context of tactical vehicle manufacturing. You will be involved in the design and integration of vehicle control and embedded systems, which are critical to the performance and reliability of our defense technologies. Your role will not only enhance your technical skills but also allow you to contribute to projects that have a real-world impact on the safety and effectiveness of those who serve in defense roles. During your internship, you will support Electrical Engineers in selecting components and parts that meet quality standards, focusing on factors such as weight, cost, reliability, and manufacturability. You will utilize advanced 3D modeling software, such as CATIA and SolidWorks, in conjunction with analytical circuit software to develop wire harnesses for our vehicles. Additionally, you will have the chance to follow projects on the assembly floor, providing technical assistance during prototype, pilot, or production builds. This hands-on experience will be invaluable as you generate bills of materials and consult with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to solve engineering challenges. Overall, this internship is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in electrical engineering while contributing to the mission of Oshkosh Defense.
