About the position

Modis is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our aviation client in Tulsa. The role involves designing and developing tools and software for new products, troubleshooting hardware issues, and providing engineering support to production teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with measurement instrumentation and software development.

Responsibilities

• Specify or develop tools, test fixtures, and automated test stands as needed for new products
• Design, develop, code, test, and debug software
• Evaluate cost-efficient test solutions for in-house vs. outsourced determination
• Troubleshoot hardware issues discovered during production and determine corrective action
• Create and maintain electrical documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings)
• Provide engineering support and technical guidance to production
• Create test instructions and procedures for component testing and repairs
• Assist in training maintenance staff in the proper usage of equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering
• 1-2 plus years of experience preferred
• Knowledge of measurement instrumentation, test fixtures, and computer-based DAQ
• Experience with electrical measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes and volt meters
• Familiarity with sensors including pressure, temperature, flow, rotation, and force
• Experience with Graphical User Interface development
• Working knowledge of software like Visual Basic, C++, C#, and/or Lab View
• Proven ability to manage design projects with daily assignments
• Knowledge of aircraft wiring and connectors is a plus
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a team setting
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
