About the position

The Maintenance Electrical Engineer at WestRock Company is responsible for promoting electrical reliability throughout the mill and plant facility. This role involves direct collaboration with electricians and instrumentation technicians to ensure effective maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems. The engineer will also develop specifications for mechanical and electrical equipment, analyze data to improve reliability, and create preventative maintenance plans.

Responsibilities

  • Support maintenance personnel in resolving facilities and equipment problems using systematic troubleshooting methods.
  • Participate in or lead Root Cause Failure Analysis and report findings with recommended remedies.
  • Lead the Electrical Reliability program to improve equipment availability and uptime.
  • Conduct equipment failure analysis to identify opportunities for reducing repetitive maintenance issues.
  • Develop and implement predictive maintenance measures to extend asset lifespan.
  • Serve as an electrical reliability Subject Matter Expert (SME) for WestRock facilities and external vendors.
  • Partner with Maintenance and Production teams to promote reliability program buy-in.
  • Provide technical support for capital and expense projects to ensure maintainability and quality.
  • Assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and reliability issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • 2 to 3 years of work experience in Maintenance Manufacturing, with experience in systems like Allen Bradley, Reliance, Rockwell drives, Emerson Delta V, ABB DCS, and Honeywell DCS.
  • Strong analytical skills to derive insights from large data sets for business decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to various audiences.
  • Adept at problem-solving and identifying root causes for preventative measures.
  • Results-oriented with a drive to achieve organizational objectives.
