As an Electrical Engineer with our Maryland client, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of secure products that empower the United States, NATO, and allied forces to protect sensitive information in high-threat environments. With over five years of experience in electrical engineering, you will engage in the research, development, and design of advanced communications, computing, and networking products that meet stringent security standards, including TEMPEST and IP-based communications vulnerabilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a flexible and dynamic environment, where you will collaborate with industry leaders and become a subject matter expert in your field. Your responsibilities will include component-level design of both analog and digital systems, with a strong emphasis on EMI/RFI design. You will utilize ORCAD PCB design software or similar applications to create and refine designs. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with mechanical engineers, TEMPEST engineers, and other disciplines during the systems integration of prototype or manufactured units. As a Project Lead, you will manage schedules, budgets, and quality, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and to the highest standards. In addition to design responsibilities, you will review all necessary drawings and schematics to support TEMPEST product design and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to address production issues that may arise during TEMPEST production testing. Your expertise will be crucial in evaluating operational systems and recommending modifications to enhance performance. This role may also involve occasional travel to support project needs and client engagements.
