About the position

The Electrical Engineer position at TJC and Associates is a mid-level role that offers a hybrid work environment, allowing for both home and office work. The role focuses on electrical design engineering services, particularly in infrastructure projects related to water and wastewater treatment. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior engineers, engage in technical analyses, and contribute to the preparation of plans and specifications, while also gaining valuable experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project planning, scoping, proposing, and coordinating technical activities of the team for limited-scope projects.
• Manage project budgets, design, QA/QC, and production.
• Prepare intermediate-level drawings, calculations, estimates, specifications, and reports for electrical design tasks.
• Collect technical data for analysis to perform electrical design tasks.
• Develop electrical design reports, calculations, and drawings that meet current electrical design codes and standards.
• Interact with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to obtain necessary technical data for electrical designs.
• Prepare project deliverables using TJCAA standards and practices, incorporating client requirements within specified timelines.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of working experience in electrical engineering, particularly in the design of power, lighting, and control systems for water and wastewater treatment structures.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in California.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or qualified to work in the U.S. without employer visa assistance.
