About the position

As an Electrical Engineer at Tetra Tech's High Performance Buildings Group, you will lead, design, and manage a portfolio of innovative projects focused on energy-efficient systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on national and international projects, collaborating with top engineers in the field while contributing to sustainable building designs that set industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical power design for various projects including hospitals, laboratories, high-rise residential, hotels, and commercial buildings.
• Incorporate design changes using AutoCAD and/or Revit software.
• Perform service load calculations and short circuit studies.
• Meet project schedules and work within budgetary constraints.
• Attend meetings with architects, owners, and building managers to discuss projects.
• Review submittals and respond to Requests for Information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the design of building power systems.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit software.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Excellent technical skills and strong communication abilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of code compliance requirements and industry standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• PE registration is highly preferred, or EIT with the ability to obtain a P.E.
