About the position

As an Electrical Engineer with our esteemed organization, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of advanced communication, computing, and networking products that meet stringent security standards. With over five years of experience in both analog and digital systems, you will engage in component-level design, focusing on EMI/RFI considerations to ensure the integrity and security of our products. Your expertise will contribute to safeguarding sensitive information for the United States, NATO, and allied nations in high-threat environments. In this position, you will be involved in the research and development phases, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes mechanical engineers and TEMPEST engineers. Your responsibilities will encompass utilizing ORCAD PCB or similar design software to create and refine designs, ensuring that all products adhere to rigorous security protocols, including TEMPEST standards. You will also take on the role of Project Lead, where you will manage project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance processes, ensuring that all deliverables meet the high standards expected by our clients. Your role will also involve reviewing technical drawings and schematics to support TEMPEST product designs, as well as working with Manufacturing Engineering to address and resolve production issues that may arise during testing. Responsibilities

  • Component-level design of both analog and digital systems with an emphasis on EMI/RFI design
  • Utilize ORCAD PCB or similar design software
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, TEMPEST engineers, and other disciplines during systems integration of prototype or manufactured units
  • Take the lead as Project Lead, managing schedules, budgets, and quality
  • Review all appropriate drawings and schematics required to support a TEMPEST product design
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to help solve production problems that result in TEMPEST production test issues
  • Evaluate operational systems, recommending modifications for improved performance
  • Other duties as assigned, and occasional travel may be required

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience as an Electrical Engineer
  • Proficiency in designing both analog and digital systems
  • Experience with EMI/RFI design
  • Familiarity with ORCAD PCB or similar design software
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong project management skills, including managing schedules and budgets
  • Experience in reviewing technical drawings and schematics
  • Problem-solving skills related to production and testing issues

Nice-to-haves
