The Electrical Engineer NS&E position at Industrial Staffing Services Inc. is a full-time role based in Richland, Washington, focused on the engineering design of high-level waste (HLW) electrical systems and equipment for the Hanford Vit Plant project. The role requires a full-time presence in the project office, adhering to a 9/80 work schedule that provides every other Friday off, allowing for a better work-life balance. As an Electrical Engineer, you will engage in various engineering activities, including the preparation of design documents for procurement and construction. This involves utilizing software tools such as SETROUTE, BlockDraw, and ETAP to create detailed electrical designs. You will be responsible for interpreting and applying relevant codes and standards to ensure compliance in all electrical design documents, specifications, and material requisitions. The position demands a strong understanding of electrical discipline drawings, including wiring diagrams, control logic diagrams, and system calculations, as well as the ability to size and specify electrical equipment accurately. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of independent creative design while collaborating effectively with other engineering disciplines and project teams. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of the project.
