About the position

We are seeking a talented Licensed Electrical Engineer who excels in designing comprehensive electrical systems for large manufacturing facilities. This role emphasizes strong mentorship and leadership while ensuring compliance with industry standards and integrating various electrical systems effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead electrical design projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and integrating power, lighting, and fire alarm systems seamlessly.
  • Apply an in-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code to craft designs that meet safety and quality benchmarks.
  • Design robust power distribution systems for low and medium voltage applications tailored to manufacturing plants.
  • Optimize power distribution through precise load flow analysis to enhance energy efficiency.
  • Craft innovative lighting solutions that boost safety, productivity, and energy conservation.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary projects, offering electrical engineering expertise to forge comprehensive solutions.
  • Utilize leading software like Easy Power, REVIT, and AutoCAD for sophisticated modeling and simulation.
  • Directly collaborate with clients to align electrical solutions with their unique objectives.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of Professional Electrical Engineering design experience in the construction industry.
  • Must hold a valid Electrical P.E. license and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience designing power systems for data centers, commercial offices, manufacturing facilities, medical buildings, or other large commercial projects.
  • Experience working independently, managing priorities and providing mentorship to junior staff.
  • Strong understanding of National and International Building Codes and NFPA Standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of equipment power requirements, including large scale standby and emergency power systems.
  • Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.
  • Experienced with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.
  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility to achieve long-range objectives.
  • Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team.
  • Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, BIM and Revit.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Medium Voltage equipment selection and specifications is preferred.
  • Experienced in producing Protective Device Coordination and Arc Flash studies is preferred.
