About the position

The Licensed Electrical Engineer will play a crucial leadership role in a Utility Scale Solar EPC company, focusing on innovative solar energy solutions. This position involves shaping projects across the nation, mentoring a team of engineers, and ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare electrical single-line diagrams, schematics, and layouts for utility-scale solar power plants.
  • Specify and oversee electrical components such as inverters, transformers, and switchgear.
  • Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit analysis, and protection coordination studies.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards like NEC, IEC, and IEEE.
  • Lead technical due diligence, design review, and risk assessment for solar projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers while managing project timelines, deliverables, and budgets.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred) with a Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 4 years in the solar industry.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software, including AutoCAD, ETAP, PVSyst, and SKM Power Tools.
