About the position

The Sr. Electrical Engineer will oversee engineering designs for electrical infrastructure and facilities, primarily for Federal government clients. This role involves developing construction documents using AutoCAD, managing junior staff, and ensuring quality control and assurance in various electrical projects. The position may require travel for field measurements and data gathering, and it emphasizes collaboration with other engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Produce plans, reports, and specifications.
• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates.
• Assist in the preparation of inspection reports.
• Perform quality control and quality assurance.
• Perform calculations for the design of lighting and electrical systems.
• Work closely with junior engineering and drafting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a similar field from an ABET-accredited college or university.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer or having passed the FE exam with the ability to become licensed within a year of hire.
• AutoCAD design experience.
• 5+ years of construction design experience.
• Experience in commercial building electrical design, electrical engineering, electrical design, AutoCAD electrical.
