About the position

The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia is seeking undergraduate juniors and seniors for paid, full-time internships in the Facilities Department. This internship offers students majoring in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management the opportunity to engage in project-oriented assignments that contribute to the management and maintenance of operations within the Bank. Interns will gain valuable experience while working on various projects, including office renovations and equipment installations, in a supportive environment that values their skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in project management for office renovations and equipment installations/upgrades.
• Support the evaluation of mechanical and electrical distribution systems.
• Take accurate notes during meetings and communicate effectively with team members.
• Work independently with limited supervision on assigned tasks.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit for project-related tasks.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management.
• Intermediate related work or volunteer experience preferred.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit 3D modeling.
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to demonstrate initiative.
• Good problem-solving skills and logical thinking.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Building Automation System Integration (BMS/BAS).
• Familiarity with mechanical spaces and equipment.
