About the position

The Electrical Engineer (RF) position is an entry-level role focused on Radio-Frequency (RF) systems engineering within an interdisciplinary team. The engineer will perform technical and planning tasks to assess system operations in electromagnetic environments, conduct RF measurements, and develop testing methodologies. The role requires a strong foundation in RF engineering principles and the ability to analyze data related to RF performance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Radio-Frequency (RF) systems engineering tasks under limited supervision.
  • Conduct technical and planning tasks to characterize system operations in electromagnetic environments.
  • Test and evaluate RF measurements including power, frequency, and modulation.
  • Develop and implement RF testing methodologies.
  • Collect, reduce, and analyze data to assess complex systems' RF performance.
  • Support mission requirements by performing additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics with RF emphasis from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Experience with advanced test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and vector signal generators.
  • Experience conducting and evaluating RF measurements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master of Science degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics with RF emphasis from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Extensive experience with RF measurements on high power transmitters and amplifiers.
  • Experience with Electronic Warfare testing.
  • Experience developing scripts and software for test instrumentation.
