The Senior Electrical Engineer will independently perform innovative and complex electronic design and development for new products, guiding them from conception through to production release. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful completion of design, testing, specification, documentation, and qualification of products throughout the project lifecycle. The engineer will establish and meet targeted project objectives, including timelines, costs, and quality standards, while also designing improvements for existing products. In this position, the engineer will create innovative new product designs in response to new product concepts, efficiently and effectively based on a thorough understanding of the company's strategy and needs. This includes constructing and maintaining new product timelines that incorporate required external resources. The engineer will also recommend manufacturing and design fabrication practices that align with best practices and troubleshoot design obstructions, providing cost-effective solutions. The role involves performing prototype design experimentation, including rapid and conventional prototype fabrication, and evaluating prototypes for performance and reliability. The engineer will write product specifications, provide documentation, and develop testing verification methods to ensure products meet specifications. Additionally, the engineer will conduct technical feasibility evaluations and competitive testing to verify designs, formulating development and tooling cost estimates. Advanced troubleshooting of electrical and electronic design issues during development and after production start is essential, as is collaboration with various internal teams to resolve issues and ensure the development of quality products that meet company and consumer needs. The engineer will produce comprehensive project documentation, assist operations and suppliers during new product development stages, and manage a variety of moderately complex to complex projects from concept through to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
