CTR Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Aviation Engineering Client in the Dayton, OH area. This is an immediate opening, and we are urgently hiring for this position. The role is hybrid, allowing for both in-office and remote work, providing flexibility to the successful candidate. The Senior Electrical Engineer will perform complex engineering duties in the international office, applying their knowledge of electrical engineering to support various aspects of electrical power systems and avionics subsystems. This includes development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems. The successful candidate will support AIMS requirements, testing, certification, and spectrum management requirements. They will utilize their understanding of CNS/ATM requirements, policies, and regulations to assist in defining requirements and completing compliance matrices. The role also involves reviewing, developing, and updating program documentation relevant to avionics engineering requirements. The engineer will support core engineering tasks related to avionics integration and apply MIL-HDBK-516C Airworthiness Certification Criteria to aircraft systems and subsystems. In addition, the Senior Electrical Engineer will assist in translating user requirements into weapons system requirements, which will be used to design, develop, fabricate, test, and evaluate systems for deployment. They will also be involved in material solution analyses leading up to design reviews and will provide support in producing or reviewing technical evaluations, engineering studies, reports, and acquisition strategies. The role requires participation in project team meetings and working groups, as well as analyzing equipment and software deficiencies and making recommendations for corrections. The position demands a proactive approach to engineering evaluation and compliance, ensuring OSS&E for all products. The engineer will assist in establishing and adhering to LCSE processes and will participate in value stream mapping activities and AFSO21 program facilitation.
