About the position

At Lockheed Martin, we are dedicated to advancing the capabilities of the Aegis Combat System through comprehensive integration, development, and testing under the Aegis Baseline Upgrade program. We support the Combat Systems Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) in ensuring the operational readiness and performance excellence of critical naval defense systems. The scope of this position includes efforts related to the installation of AEGIS systems, Combat System Elements (Weapons and Sensors), and related support infrastructure. This encompasses floor space utilization, heat load calculation, cooling solution design, and the design and oversight of related facility support systems as they relate to Test Environment installations and operation. The candidate will perform and support the design, installation, and maintenance of building systems while supervising work performed on CSEDS facilities, grounds, equipment, and systems. Responsibilities include creating design specifications, procurement documents, vendor selection, installation supervision, and acceptance. The role also involves managing and coordinating engineering Preventive Maintenance (PM), maintenance, and emergency repairs with vendors, Lockheed Martin maintenance personnel, and program(s). This position requires a background in electrical and electrical power engineering to support the CSEDS Site Engineering Team in operating and maintaining the Site, as well as producing new designs in support of Test Site Activation. The successful candidate will have experience working within a multi-function team environment and will have experience working with contractors and tradesmen. The engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of site maintenance electrical outages in conjunction with the Lead Electrical Engineer. The engineer will revise site electrical system drawings and documentation and will interface with Lockheed Martin facilities, tradespeople, and ESH engineering departments, performing tasks in accordance with Lockheed Martin's ethical and safety visions.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support design, installation, and maintenance of building systems.
• Supervise work performed on CSEDS facilities, grounds, equipment, and systems.
• Create design specifications, procurement documents, and vendor selection.
• Oversee installation supervision and acceptance of systems.
• Manage and coordinate engineering Preventive Maintenance (PM) and emergency repairs with vendors and maintenance personnel.
• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of site maintenance electrical outages.
• Revise site electrical system drawings and documentation.
• Interface with Lockheed Martin facilities, tradespeople, and ESH engineering departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a preferred concentration in power systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and AutoCAD.
• Experience in producing electrical designs in compliance with NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E.
• Familiarity with engineering and design of low voltage and medium voltage power systems.
• Ability to provide estimates, perform electrical calculations, produce electrical designs and drawings, and write technical documents.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance at the SECRET level.

Nice-to-haves

• Minimum five (5) years' experience in field applications of engineering skills.
• Broad background in electrical engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with ungrounded power systems in accordance with MIL-STD-1399-300A/B.
• Experience in the design of power systems for mission-critical equipment and data center facilities.
• PE license is favorable.
