As an Electrical Engineer - Technical Lead at ENTRUST Solutions Group, you will leverage your expertise in electrical software tools such as ETAP, SKM, and EasyPower to lead technical projects. Your role will involve collaborating with designers and drafters to develop and review comprehensive design drawings, which include general arrangements, elevations, equipment connection details, grounding plans, conduit plans, control building layouts, foundation plans, and material lists. You will be responsible for performing critical studies and calculations necessary for the design of substations, including grounding calculations, lightning protection calculations, battery bank sizing, conduit fill calculations, and substation sizing calculations, as well as conducting AC and DC substation studies. In this position, you will work closely with internal teams specializing in civil/structural, protection and controls, and automation to ensure cohesive project execution. You will provide valuable input to Project Managers and the Business Unit Leader regarding potential process and design improvements, ensuring that all engineering design and technology aspects are optimized. Adhering to quality control systems, you will check all projects assigned to you and assist in preparing proposals by estimating engineering hours as the engineering discipline lead. Building and maintaining quality relationships with clients will be a key aspect of your role, as will conducting periodic site visits, estimating, and attending scoping meetings. You will be expected to maintain a collaborative spirit while working within the Business Unit and with other Business Units, performing miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary.
