About the position

The Electrical Engineer (Test/Integration) role at Insight Global involves the testing and integration of complex printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) for semiconductor devices and modules. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions for product validation and testing, ensuring that systems meet all requirements and are delivered on time.

Responsibilities

  • Test and integrate complex PCBA of semiconductor devices and modules.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to perform electronic circuit design, integration, validation, and production test verification.
  • Troubleshoot and support deployment setup for systems.
  • Develop creative and cost-competitive integration and validation solutions for new products at both system and sub-system levels.
  • Interface with system engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure timely delivery of systems that meet all requirements.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and firmware design teams for proper integration and validation of systems.
  • Participate in preliminary and critical design reviews of PCBs.
  • Perform design changes and circuit performance improvements for existing products.
  • Support factory testing activities as needed.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a multi-disciplinary team with electrical, software, and mechanical engineers.
  • 5+ years of experience in integration and testing of complex systems.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation devices and expertise in integrating them into larger test systems.
  • Experience in the manufacturing release process.
  • Detailed knowledge of Acceptance Testing and/or System Testing procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in electrical circuit design and PCB layout design processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in developing semiconductor production testers (ATEs) or characterization testers or system-level testers.
  • Experience in a programming language such as C, C#, or Visual Basic.
  • Knowledge of SEMI, UL, and other related regulatory standards.
