About the position
The Electrical Engineer position at Power System Engineering Inc. focuses on providing engineering and consulting services to utility clients. Responsibilities
- Perform utility studies including long-range plans and construction work plans.
- Conduct distributed energy resource system impact studies.
- Design protection and sectionalizing schemes.
- Investigate power quality disturbances and provide daily operations support.
- Utilize engineering analysis software for electrical system modeling analysis.
- Provide ESRI support for power delivery design projects, including project maps and schematic drawings.
- Assist in completing the environmental review process for electrical utility projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues on technical subjects and interact with clients to develop relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BSEE).
- 2-5 years of experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Products.
- Knowledge of load flow and short circuit software tools (e.g., Milsoft, CYME, PSS/E, SKM).
- Experience with electric utilities or consulting for electric utilities.
