About the position

As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will be at the forefront of hardware-related initiatives, playing a critical role in the development and maintenance of Autonomous Solutions products. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing and approving electrical drawings, conducting thorough electrical analyses, specifying new devices, and maintaining the bill of materials (BOM) for our products. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to lead a team effectively. You will spend approximately 60-70% of your time reviewing drawings produced by three Electrical Designers, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary standards and specifications. The remaining time will be dedicated to managing BOMs and sourcing replacement parts as needed. In this role, you will collaborate closely with your team to ensure that all hardware components are designed and implemented correctly. Your leadership will be essential in guiding the Electrical Designers, providing them with the support and direction they need to succeed. You will also be responsible for utilizing various tools and software packages to conduct tests on assemblies, ensuring that all products meet quality and performance standards. This position is fully on-site in Carmel, IN, with training conducted in Evansville, IN, allowing for some flexibility in your work environment. You will be expected to be onsite daily, partnering with your team to drive projects forward and achieve successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all hardware-related initiatives for Autonomous Solutions products.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering.
  • 5+ years' experience reviewing and approving electrical drawings and leading technical projects.
  • 1+ years' experience utilizing tools and software packages to conduct various tests on assemblies.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
