About The Position
The Electrical Engineer position at Actalent is a pivotal role within a multi-disciplinary engineering firm that specializes in public municipal and wastewater projects. This mid-level position is designed for an individual who thrives in a dynamic environment where each project presents unique challenges and opportunities for growth. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with various project design teams and customers to deliver comprehensive electrical system and equipment design services. This includes responsibilities such as medium and low voltage utility service entrance and power distribution, lighting, and motor controls. In this role, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing and drafting basis of design reports, performing critical calculations such as short circuit, load flow, voltage drop, and arc flash calculations, as well as circuit ampacity and conduit fill calculations. The position requires strong technical, communication, and leadership skills to effectively present findings and integrated solutions to customers through both written reports and oral presentations. Additionally, the engineer will prepare detailed specifications, contract drawings, and contractor bid packages, ensuring that all documentation meets the required standards and specifications. Actalent offers a flexible work environment, with the expectation of being onsite three days a week and working from home for two days.
